What to Know About Syro’s Stiletto-Heeled Handbag
Syro is taking slick steps into the accessories category, with the queer-owned brand releasing its debut handbag this month.
Available now, the gender-inclusive label’s $375 Stiletto handbag features calf leather uppers with a silver-buckled shoulder strap, mimicking the popularity of similar styles in the ’90s and early 2000s. However, this iteration features a notable exception: it’s shaped like a high-heeled boot.

The piece’s silhouette, as imagined by designer and creative director Henry Bae, features a three-dimensional shape equivalent to a European size 43 (equivalent to a US size 9) bootie. The ankle-high style features a zipper extending from its sharply pointed toes to the top of its shaft. Completing the pair, naturally, is its angled base: smooth dark soles, given a sultry flair from thin, metallic stiletto heels.
The handbag — which is available for pre-orders, anticipated for delivery in December — comes in a reptilian-embossed palette with both metallic silver and glossy black colorways with silver hardware.
For those craving a more contemporary twist, the piece is also available in a smooth, deep brown leather with white stitching and shiny gold heels.
The style is instantly reminiscent of Bae’s signature slick shoes, which feature an array of block-heeled boots and booties with both ridged and platform bases. Styles from the brand have also grown in popularity on the red carpet in recent years; the label counts stars including RuPaul Charles and Bowen Yang as clients, and Lil Nas even wore a glittery iteration of its Kitten platform boots to make a dynamic, glitzy statement at the 2023 Met Gala.
