July 6, 2022: Mango has inked a new agreement with Fox Group to open six stores in Toronto during 2022-2023, marking the Spanish brand’s official entry into Canada. These openings are just the beginning for the two companies. In total, Mango plans to open at least 20 stores with Fox Group in Canada over the next 10 years. July 6, 2022: Australian luxury footwear and streetwear chain Sneakerboy was placed into administration—an equivalent to filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the U.S.—amid mass complaints from consumers and claims of unpaid debts by various creditors. The retailer recently closed its Brisbane store in April. The move was confirmed in a notice of appointment released by the Australian Securities and Investments (ASIC) on Saturday. “Sneakerboy today announced that Stephen Dixon of Hamilton Murphy Advisory has been appointed as voluntary administrator,” Hamilton Murphy Advisory said in a statement. “The voluntary administration appointment has been made due to short term financing difficulties being experienced by the company. The difficult but prudent decision has been made to initiate the voluntary administration process. The administrator will now assess the ongoing viability of the business as he assesses the ability of the companies to continue to operate as a going concern.”
