AntiHero Skateboards and Nike SB Are Collaborating for Just the Second Time Ever
The AntiHero Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk High and Blazer Mid will both release in just a matter of weeks. Following a black-dominant Dunk High and Blazer Low from 2018, AntiHero’s newest Dunk High opts for an upper made up of a white and cream mix of tumbled leather, cracked leather and suede. Less marks are also involved this time around, as the brand’s traditional tattoo style eagle logo is debossed without color on the heel. A co-branded circular logo appears in black on the tongue tag, and both parties’ names are stamped onto mismatched insoles in AntiHero’s font. Exposed foam tongues bring a pop of yellow, and the outsole is rendered in black.
For its SB Blazer Mid, AntiHero deviates even further from its past collaboration with an upper made up of olive and yellow suede. AntiHero’s font is again used for mismatched branding hits, this time on the mustache. Grant Taylor, who skates for both AntiHero and Nike SB and whose initials appeared on the prior Blazer Low, now sees his initials appear on the tongue tag in the style of automotive branding. The midsole is then rendered in brown, and when you flip it over you’ll see AntiHero’s colorful logo rendered oversized beneath the two translucent outsoles.
The AntiHero Skateboardsx Nike SB Dunk High and Blazer Mid are both scheduled to release November 21 through the Snkrs app, but they’ll likely become available in the week prior through local skate shops based on how SB releases are typically handled. Pricing for either sneaker has yet to be confirmed.
