Kerry Washington Is Ready to Brave the Cold in Slick, Knee-High Glossy Boots
Kerry Washington is ready for chillier temperatures to set in. The actor attended a special screening of Tyler Perry’s “The Six Triple Eight” film on Netflix. Washington stars in the drama as an army captain. For the event in Atlanta, Georgia, Washington put on a dress featuring a cutout from Genny. Over that she layered a leather coat featuring a fur lapel from Hermes.
To punctuate the look, Washington went for a pair of glossy boots. The boots are from Jimmy Choo, according to her stylists Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi. The leg of the shoe goes knee high. It also features a sharply pointed toe. The boot sits on a stiletto heel. The heel likely measures about four inches.
The shoe is not skin-tight like a sock-boot or the second-skin styles that trended on the runways in paris and Milan earlier this year. It is unclear which style from Jimmy Choo this is.
Other brands are currently offering stiletto boots with the high gloss finish that Washington sports. Take for example the stiletto boot from Paris Texas. That patent leather design is also knee high with a sharply pointed toe. Like other Paris Texas boots it does include a seam across the front featuring tonal stitching, likely nodding to the cowboy origins of the company’s designs.
There’s also the Saint Laurent Vendome boot. Done in glazed leather, it differs from the other boots int hat it has a decorative buckle strap featuring a small silver buckle at the ankle. That shoe has notably been worn multiple times by Jennifer Lopez who also works with Haenn and Zangardi. Lopez has worn the Vendome boot In a toffee brown at least twice this year: the first time she wore them while walking around New York City in May ahead of the Met Gala that she co-chaired. Then she doubled back earlier this month. While wearing a matching cardigan and short set from Gucci, she pulled out the Saint Laurent boots again.
