Skechers is officially launching its first sneaker with its artist-in-residence, Doja Cat.

According to the Los Angeles-based footwear company, it will launch the all-new Doja’Lite sneaker later today via a partnership with StockX.

The StockX drop will include limited quantities of both the black and white pairs in women’s sizing, which will be available while supplies last, for $125. What’s more, StockX’s physical stores will feature displays designed to celebrate the partnership and build excitement around the highly anticipated Sept. 22 release of Doja Cat’s new album, Scarlet.

As for the design, the all-new Doja’Lite sneakers blend aspects of the heritage Skechers upper on a rugged modern bottom with quality materials and colors selected by Doja Cat. Styles in the capsule offer unique details like translucent pearlized or marbleized metallic lugged outsoles, premium leathers including snake-embossed patent or genuine suede.

In a statement on Thursday, the Grammy Award winner said it felt “really cool” to create her own shoe with Skechers. “To design something inspired by the iconic sneaker my peers wore back in the day — Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera — I feel like I am a part of history,” Doja Cat said.

“Doja Cat is a fashion icon and the perfect visionary to reimagine one of our most iconic Skechers styles in a way that is both unique and forward-thinking,” Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers, added. “Doja Cat generates headlines and buzz through everything she does, so the excitement surrounding the Doja’Lite styles presents an opportunity to introduce a remix of Skechers heritage sneaker designs to audiences globally.”

Following the exclusive StockX drop today, more colorways across three distinct styles will arrive for the global product and campaign release on Sept. 28, including versions in patent black, off-white and lavender, all-white and olive green. The full Skechers x Doja Cat collection will be available at Skechers.com/doja-cat and in select Skechers retail stores, plus specialty stores worldwide.

In late April, Doja Cat joined the footwear brand as its first artist-in-residence. Just days later on May 1, Skechers released its first campaign with the Grammy Award winner wearing styles from the Skechers Uno collection.

Doja Cat’s custom sneaker launch comes after fellow Skechers ambassador Snoop Dogg released his own four-piece sneaker capsule with the brand in August. Doja Cat and Snoop Dogg are part of the company’s extensive roster of ambassadors, including Martha Stewart, Amanda Kloots and Brooke Burke; musician Willie Nelson; and a slate of retired sports stars such as former football players and broadcasters Tony Romo, Howie Long and Cris Carter; boxer Sugar Ray Leonard; NASCAR legend Rusty Wallace and regional endorses.
